Ideal for a day trip or even better as an idea for a weekend by one of the most beautiful valleys of Lombardy, for cyclists not only. All this is the cycle track Seriana, in the province of Bergamo. The route winds along the banks of the River Serio, on a path completely closed to motor vehicles, through natural landscapes and rich bird fauna, with a length of about 30 km with average gradients available, also suitable for those who use bike only a few times a year.

It starts from the village of Ranica, 5 km from Bergamo and reaches Clusone, popular holiday resort. The track is full of signs that indicate distances and explanatory panels with information on habitats and sites of special interest. There are numerous countries that find and worth visiting. A Nembro example you can visit the Church of San Martino, built in 1424, before reaching the medieval bridge in Albino you can visit the Sanctuary of San Rocco, the countries of Vertova and Gazzaniga are centers of historical interest.

Cycling along the river is not difficult to meet the heron, a bird in adulthood also reaches a meter in height, and you will see in flight or while fishing. Several areas equipped with fountains and benches and tables where you can stop to rest or to enjoy the environment, also find some refreshment.

Clusone, arrival point, is famous for "Danse Macabre", a fresco of the fifteenth century, and the wonderful Old Town Square where you can admire the Palazzo della Ragione, of medieval origin. The city lies on a high plateau dominated by dolomite Presolana, the climate in summer is particularly cool and pleasant and there are many hotels where you can find accommodation, perhaps even to stop over one night.
