Farmers' Cooking recipes on the 27th and 28th of August in Brisighella

Romagna is home of local products and of an enogastronomic heritage result of a history, of a tradition, of a culture which have always struck the right balance between taste, quality and authenticity.

"L’Arca dei Savori" was born in 2001, when Brisighella (RA) was inspired by the Slow Food project of the "Arca del Gusto" for the protection of local products. In the next edition the event became increasingly specific, becoming precisely the "Arca dei Savori", in agreement with a term that refers to both flavors and traditional cuisine.

The word Savor, in fact, is used in medieval cookbooks and is also a free translation of the dialect of Romagna Savur, which recalls the simple and true flavors of country cooking.

Now in its 10th edition, the Arca dei Savori is proposed again in 2010 27 and August 28 by the "The Work of Farmers", by the Company of Area "Terre di Faenza" and "Road of Wines and Flavours Colline di Faenza. The theme of this week's flavor is "The Peasants' recipes from Romagna.

Friday, August 27 in the historic courtyard of Villa Court Brisighella, Enrico and Alessandro Molinari Gurioli Pradelli, writers and experts from the popular Italian cuisine, will offer a range of topics that will be inspiration and material for the production of a book (in collaboration with the 'publisher Gribaudo) on the "home recipes" of the farmers of the Romagna. Volume which will be officially presented at the 2011 event.

Saturday, August 28, however, will be repeated the route between tradition and savor: a path that involves several of the hill farms and tourism association members Faenza "The Work of Farmers", a journey that winds through preparation, tasting and marketing of local products and wines, with an "outline" of traditions, events and reconstructions of the life and work of farmers Romagna a time. An opportunity to learn and taste the wine farms of the area, with the possibility of dinners with themed menus.
